Influence of Solution Treatment on Microstructure and Properties of Sub-rapidly Solidified High-aluminum Bronze Alloy

Sub-rapidly solidified Cu-15Al-2Fe alloy bar was prepared by copper mould casting. The effects of solution treatment on microstructure and properties of Cu-15Al-2Fe alloy were investigated by OM, XRD and hardness tester. The results show that the microstructure of sub-rapidly solidified alloy is compact, which consists of γ2 +(α +γ2). The microstructure of alloys changes significantly, the content of γ2 phase increases and α phase decreases with the increase of solution holding time, which results in the hardness of Cu-15Al-2Fe alloy first decreasing and then increasing.
