EglN2 positively regulates mitochondrial function in breast cancer

2016
ABSTRACTOxygen sensing is associated with mitochondrial function. EglN2, which contributes to breast tumorigenesis as a prolyl hydroxylase, has recently been identified as a transcription co-activator through interaction with NRF1 and PGC1α to regulate mitochondrial function under conditions of normoxia and hypoxia. FDXR is the important downstream target gene that mediates this regulation.
