A device for the continuous determination of the state of wear of friction linings

1997
A device for the continuous determination of the wear state of brake linings (7.8), with a displacement sensor (11) which consists of a sensor housing (12) with a longitudinally displaceably mounted to Messtosel (13), wherein the Messtosel (13) and the sensor housing having various relatively movable parts (5,7,8,10) of a motor vehicle brake are mechanically connected, the relative displacement is detected as a measure of the brake lining wear, wherein an electronic evaluation system from the from the displacement sensor (11) signals received data on the respective state of wear of the brake pads generated characterized in that the sensor housing (12) is non-rotatably and releasably secured within a recess of a brake caliper (5) of a spot-type disc brake (1) a form-fitting, wherein the Messtosel (13) aligned with an actuating device of the spot-type disc brake (1) and releasably mechanically at least one of both sides e arranged iner brake disc (6) brake shoes (7,8) is coupled to sense displacement thereof.
