Analysis of the Design Method of Uplift Pile in Soft Soil Area

Uplift pile is usually used in resisting buoyancy of underground structures. Based on the current situation and standard, the design methods of uplift pile in soft soil area from different code are analyzed and discussed, including their specification and insufficiency. Finally, combined with the measured value, the calculation method from the latest edition JGJ 94—2008 Technical Code for Building Pile Foundations is checked, and the pile strength and the pile crack checkings are also analyzed.
