Photoproduction of ϱO mesons on deuterons between 1 and 5 GeV

Abstract From a measurement of the reactionγd→p s pπ − π o (p s means spectator proton) in a deuterium bubble chamber exposed to abremsstrahlung beam, the cross section for the reactionγd→p s pϱ − has been determined for|t| = −( q γ − q ϱ − ) 2 2 . It has a maximum of8±2 μb for photon energies between 1.4 and 1.8 GeV, and is of the order of 1μb for photon energies above 3.5 GeV. For the cross section without restriction in the square of the four-momentum transfer upper limits are given.
