MPEG2 Compressed Video

1998
Digital watermarking is the technique which embeds the invisible signal into multimedia data such as audio, video, images, for copyright protection, including owner identification and copy control information. This paper proposes a new watermarking technique which is appropriate for MPEG2 video coding system by extending the direct sequence spread spectrum. The proposed watermarking scheme in this paper minimizes the degradation of video quality caused by embedded watermark. And this technique can also directly extract embedded watermark information from watermarked MPEG2 compressed video stream without using original video sequences, which is robust for various attacks and appropriate for real time implementation. And most of these studies use the stochastic similarity with original video to extract the embedded watermark2 ' But. in addition to above first two requirements, watermarking techniques used in digital video should extract watermark information from watermarked uncompressed or compressed video data without using original uncompressed or compressed video data. And real-time processing is needed to embed and extract watermark information.
