Course and Lesson Organization

2000
The term “organization” in the context of teaching is defined as a systematic arrangement or design; as arranging in a coherent form, forming a strategy for a plan, introducing a deliberate order, arranging, and outlining. Organizational procedures enable students to follow the presentation during each lesson, identify the location and relation of each topic to the general framework of the course and lesson, structure the new material, and absorb and embed it into their existing cognitive structure in a way that makes it easily retrieved.
