Molecular Mediators of Lymphocyte Activation and Proliferation

1985
The pathway by which resting B cells differentiate into anti body-forming cells (AFC) may be divisible into three separate steps; namely, activation from G0 to G1, proliferation induced by binding of growth factors, aid differentiation into AFC induced by maturation factors. The seven papers on B cell factors given at the workshop on ’molecular mediators of lymphocyte activation and proliferation’ were mostly concerned with the molecular signals controlling the second and third steps of this pathway.
