Research on the relationship between rats’ respiration-related potentials in the visual perception area and visual stimulations

Through the analysis of respiration and formation and transmission mechanism of electroencephalogram (EEG), based on the classic Morris-Lecar model, the improved respiration EEG model is built, which uses the differential equations to describe the neurons firing process, thereby generating an analog brain wave. The correlation between EEG frequency and respiratory rate is researched. Variance analysis and wavelet analysis are used to prove the cyclical characteristics of potentials in the visual perception area. EEG signal separation model is built. By power spectrum the frequency range of a stimulus and respiration-related EEG is determined. Hypothesis test of relationship between graphic factors and EEG instantaneous frequency shows that EEG doesn’t contain graphic factors.
