PRE-SERVICE TEACHERS` ANXIETY AND ATTITUDES TOWARD THEIR PROFESSION

The purpose of this study is to prove the concurrent validity and reliability of Teacher Concerns Questionnaire (TCQ) and to do the confirmatory factor analysis of Attitudes towards Teaching Scale (ATS) among the students of faculty of education. Randomly selected 249 students of faculty of education voluntarily participated to the study. The three concerns (self, task, impact) were found higher amongst first year students than the fourth year. The three concerns (self, task, impact) were found higher amongst girls than boys. It was found two factors explaining the 61.5% of total variance in the confirmatory analysis of TCQ. Goodness of fit index (GFI) of TCQ scales was found 0.85. In addition, for ATS scale, it was found that sub-scales gave reliable measurement according to theory.
