Memristive device with threshold for synaptic application in Neuromorphic hardwares

Memristive devices behave like resistors and also have memory property. This resistance with memory is called memristance. Memristance naturally arise in nanoscale systems. Different models of memristive device developed so far are classified into two categories: memristive devices with threshold and memristive devices without threshold. Memristive devices have a particular importance in Neuromorphic hardware system. In this paper we discuss about memristive device in these two categories and also investigate how each device is suitable for neural application.
