Publishing: From chaos to mayhem as sociology meets physics

The publication in Canada's premier physics journal of a paper lambasting working mothers has outraged academics and almost resulted in closure for the Canadian Journal of Physics. Now, after two years of fencing with feminists and fumbling an apology, the publication has tried to redress its blunder by printing a special issue.
