Forecast of foundation settlement with non-equal interval data based on Asaoka method

Most of the forecast models for foundation settlement at present are statistical models,whose parameters do not have explicit meanings;however the Asaoka equation has explicit theoretical foundation with wide applications.Aiming at the non-equal interval measured settlement data in practical projects,a new Asaoka method is put forward through expressing the differential equations by difference form and the expression for settlement prediction is presented.The new method is compared with the Asaoka graphical method by an engineering case,then the suggestions for application of Asaoka method in engineering are provided.The engineering case demonstrates that the new forecast method can well predict the foundation settlement.
