Effect of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium on yields and nutrient levels in snap beans

1977
Abstract Snap beans, Phaseolus vulgaris L., were grown on four commercial fields with fertilizer treatments consisting of three rates of N, of P and of K in all combinations. Yields and levels of N, P, K, Ca and Mg in leaf tissue were measured. Results indicated a reduction of foliar Ca from the addition of N fertilizer. No other consistent response pattern emerged.
