Measuring System of Bearing Outer Diameter Based on Virtual Instruments

The on-line measuring system of the bearing outer diameter is based on the virtual instruments technology. The measured bearing was sent to lamp-house by mechanical working platform and was oriented roughly by low-resolution area array CCD. The high resolution linear array CCD was driven to scan the image of the bearing outer diameter by stepmotor, and the line position of the linear array CCD was simultaneously calculated by high precision raster sensor. The value of bearing outer diameter which gained by numeral processing should be compared with the standard component and decide whether it is qualified. By transferring the IMAQ Vision and LabVIEW, functions can realize the image processing in advance and the drawing of the edge of the bearing outer diameter.
