Steel for wind power, and production method thereof

2015
The invention discloses a steel for wind power, and a production method thereof. The yield strength, the tensile strength, the elongation percentage A, the -40DEG C impact energy, the -60DEG C impact energy and the yield-tensile ratio of the steel for wind power are not lower than 420MPa, 600-680MPa, not lower than 30%, not lower than 230J, not lower than 200J and not larger than 0.70 respectively. The steel for wind power comprises, by mass, 0.085-0.16% of C, 0.21-0.40% of Si, 1.25-1.60% of Mn, 0.015% or less of P, 0.010% or less of S, 0.008-0.015% of Ti, 0.018-0.05%of Als, 0.05-0.15% of Ni, 0.010-0.10% of Be, and the balance of Fe and inevitable impurities, wherein a mass percentage ratio of Be/Ni is 0.07-2.0. The steel for wind power has the characteristics of high strength, low yield-tensile ratio and excellent low temperature toughness, and improves the technical problems of low strength and ordinary low temperature performances of wind power steels in the prior art.
