Tailings recovery equipment and method

The invention discloses tailings recovery equipment and a method. The tailings recovery equipment comprises floaters or boats, an underwater mixer, an ore pulp pump, an ore pulp concentration online detection device, and an ore pulp concentration auto-controlling device. Wherein the underwater mixer is arranged 1.2 to 2.0m under water on one floater or boat; the ore pulp pump is arranged on another floater or boat; the installation height of the inlet of the ore pulp pump and the installation height of the underwater mixer are identical; the ore pulp concentration online detection device is arranged on one floater or boat, and next to the outlet of the ore pulp pump. The invention also provides a tailings recovery method. The tailings recovery equipment is small in size; is flexible; is suitable for applications in areas of tailings pond; and is capable of taking full advantage of residual materials of tailings pond and slope hanging wall material. The ore pulp concentration can be adjusted freely in a ranged from 10% to 45% by using the method of the invention according to the demands of subsequent technologies, and the fluctuation range of the ore pulp concentration is small. All-weather continuous stable production can be realized by using the method.
