Objective To investigate the effect of the implementation of PDCA for improving nursing work satisfaction of outpatient injection room. Methods 180 cases of patients treated by injection therapy in the injection room of our hospital from September, 2011 to September, 2013 were randomly divided into control group and observation group with 90 cases in each according to the parity figures. The control group were given routine care, and the observation group were given PDCA cycling nursing. The nursing work satisfaction and the nursing knowledge mastering degree of two groups of patients were compared. Results ①The satisfaction rate of the patients in the control group about nurses' warm reception, checking the drugs carefully after receiving the drugs, medication guidance, technical operation levels, helping to solve problems enthusiastically, appropriate three inspections and seven verifications, active patrol, explaining before transfusion and the infusion environment was 90.00%, 83.33%, 78.89%, 77.78%, 83.33%, 80.00%, 75.56%, 80.00% and 77.78%, respectively, while that of the patients in the observation group was 92.22%, 100.00%, 93.33%, 97.78%, 96.67%, 100.00%, 98.89%, 96.67% and 100.00%, separately. The above differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P0.05) except the difference in the aspect of nurses' warm reception, which was not statistically significant. ② The compliance rate of mastering nursing knowledge of patients in the control group was 83.33%, significantly lower than that(100.00%) of the observation group(P0.05). Conclusion The nursing given to the patients in injection room under PDCA cycle, can significantly improve the nursing work satisfaction degree of the patients, and increase the mastering degree of nursing knowledge, which should be promoted and popularized.
