Novel functional silyltungsten complexes of the type (C 5 Me 5 )(OC) 2 (Me 3 P)W-SiR 3 (SiR 3 =Si(H)Me 2 , Si(H)(Cl)Me, Si(H)Cl 2 have been prepared by the reaction of the lithium metalate, Li[W(CO) 2 (PMe 3 )C 5 -Me 5 ], with the corresponding chlorosilancs in cyclohexane.
