The use of a magnetic field to study the condition of protective coatings

The paper presents issues related to thickness measurement of surface layers, carried out with the use of inductive transducers. Research has been described regarding a transformer inductive transformer that will be able to detect the thickness of the surface layer in the tested protective coatings. For selected types of signals, a number of measurements of the thickness of non-ferromagnetic conducting layers and non-conductive layers were carried out, choosing the frequency of the measurement signal. Fisher’s measuring instruments were used to control the thickness of the tested layers.
