A control print (10) for controlling a printing apparatus (20) comprising a conveyor (25) operable to transport a printing medium (81) in a first direction (Y1) and a head printing (70) provided with a plurality of printing elements (71, 72, 73, 73) arranged in the first direction and divided into a first group (71, 72) located on one side of a boundary line (D) extending in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction and a second group (73, 74) located on the other side of the boundary line, the control device of the printing comprising: a controller (12) assignment data, operable to assign print data, prompting each of the printing elements to perform printing on the print medium (81), at least one of the printing elements that are included in each one of the first group and the second group; and transport controller (13) operable to drive the transporter to control a quantity of conveyance of the printing medium (81) according to a first number (r) that is the number of printing elements to which they are assigned the print data. wherein in the case where the first number is less than a second number (Pe) that is the total number of printing elements in each of the first group and the second group, the allocation controller data (12) assigns the print data from one of the elements closer to the boundary line printing with higher priority for each of the first group and the second group.
