The resconstruction of mandible defects with fibula free flap and plate fixation

Objective To find a new treatment to reconstruct the defects of mandible.Metheds 22 patients with mandibular defects were reconstruted by fibala free flaps after osteotomy immediately.Results All flaps were surrival, The function and contour of the mandible were excellant.Conclusion Fibular free flap has a good blood supply and high density of cortical bone. There is enough bone available to reconstruct mandible defect.
