Neuer kinetischer Modellansatz zur Beschreibung der Nitrifikation

In the Activated Sludge Model No.1 (ASM 1) nitrification is considered to be a single step process. Nitrite nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen are incorporated into the model as one component. The separated consideration of both steps of the nitrification process and the inclusion of nitrite nitrogen as an own component allows a more sophisticated description. With the new kinetic model the nitrification process can be described as a reaction with the formation of intermediates. It is presented that the experimental results for the nitrogen components ammonia, nitrite and nitrate can be described by the new kinetic model.
