Research of image fusion between MRI images and ultrasound images during HIFU therapy

Ultrasound image is the most commonly used imaging monitoring technology during HIFU therapy, but the poor quality of ultrasound images, image artifacts, usually need to use MRI images. Based on this, it proposes a new image monitoring solution. It extracts contours of hysteromyoma based on MRI images and fuses with real-time ultrasound images collectively to monitor HIFU treatment and navigation. The experimental results show that according to MRI images, it can have access to any real-time section smooth, precise contours of hysteromyoma and fuses with real-time ultrasound image. Clear contour is a supplement to some incomplete tumor boundary section in ultrasound images without affecting real-time monitoring of ultrasound. It is the foundation for accurate HIFU treatment.
