Tool for releasing engagement state of optical connector

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remove tool capable of easily releasing the engagement state of an optical connector in a narrow space.SOLUTION: A tool 40 for releasing the engagement state in which a receptacle side engaging part formed on a side face of a receptacle on a substrate and a connector side engaging part of an optical connector attachable to and detachable from the receptacle are engaged with each other, comprises: a release pawl 41 to be inserted into a gap between a member placed between a pair of engaging side plate parts on which the connector side engaging part is formed and the engaging side plate parts; and a guide part 42 facing the optical connector or the side face of the receptacle. While making the guide part 42 face the side face, the release pawl 41 is slid toward the substrate and thereby the pair of engaging side plate parts are expanded outwardly by the release pawl 41 to release the engagement state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
