Apparatus and method for producing packs for cigarettes

The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for the production of packs (10) of cigarettes, wherein the packets (10) have a cigarette group as pack contents, and wherein the group of cigarettes is enveloped in an inner wrapper to form a cigarette block (11), and wherein the packages (10) may have a collar, optionally, and wherein the packs (10) having an outer envelope which is formed from at least two separate blanks, and in which the cigarette block (11) is receiving, where along a packaging line (16) of the device units for formation of the packs (10) are arranged, in particular cigarette turret (17), the folding turret (21, 24) and drying turret (18, 19) which are connected by transport paths. The invention is characterized in that outside of the packaging line (16), further units for processing the blanks for the outer wrapper are disposed, and that the aggregates over conveyor tracks (32, 36, 68, 69) (for the at least partially processed blanks to the packaging line 16) are connected, (for feeding the blanks to the aggregates of the packaging line 16).
