Implantação de hortas comunitárias nas Unidades Básicas de Saúde de Florianópolis, SC, Brasil

This text aims to present the implementation of institutional and community gardens, basedon agroecological basis, based on intra and intersectoral work carried out within the scopeof the Health Promotion Coordination, a sector linked to Health Surveillance of the MunicipalHealth Department of Florianopolis, Brazil. The partnership involves the Capital ImprovementCompany, responsible for the management of solid waste, and workers and communities ofthe Basic Health Units. Thirteen (13) gardens were planted jointly between 2016 and 2017 withthe prospect of contributing to the Attention to personal, community and environmental health.Medicinal plants predominated in cultivation, and expressed the local investment in the implementationof the National Policy on Integrative and Complementary Practices, which includesthe prescription of herbal medicines by health professionals.
