Hygienic inspection of foods designated for the 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou.

Objective To inspect the hygienic conditions of foods produced by catering industries designiated for the 16th Asian Games and analyze the feasibility of food safety measures during during 16th asian Games.Methods The foods samples produced by catering industries designitated for the 16th Asian Games were randomly selected during 16th Adian Gamex and tested.The results were comparative analyzed.Results Totally 197 samples collected during 16th Asian Game were inspected an d 173 were qualified with a qualification rate of 87.82%,a little higher than that moniitored before the Games,but without significant diffeerence(P=0.585).The qualification rate of cakes and pastry was the highest(96.15%)and the rates among different kinds of foods were significantly different(P=0.009).The quaoificatiion rates among different meal ways and among hotels of diffeent stars showed no significant differences(P =0.253,P =0.674).Conclusion The safeguard measures for food hygiene during the 16th Asian Games are feasible.
