Patología infecciosa periamigdalina en pediatría : actualización del tema

Peritonsillar cellulitis and peritonsillar abscess are uncommon in paediatric population. Aetiology and clinical manifestations are well known. Its first assintance is done by paediatricians and otorhinolaryngologists in emergency departments and a definitive treatment is started after the patient is admitted. Some aspects around diagnosis and treatment remain unclear and no consensus exist. In this report after an exhaustive review of the literature we pretend to update the knowlegement and getting an standard way of managing on this illness.
