NMR of physisorbed 129Xe used as a probe to investigate porous solids

2007
Xenon is an inert gas with a large electronic environment that makes it sensitive to any interaction, even physical. The resulting electronic perturbation is directly transmitted to the nucleus and, therefore, affects the nuclear magnetic resonance chemical shift. We report some examples of the applications of the NMR of adsorbed xenon used as a probe for the study of micro- and mesoporous solids.
