Prediction of Three-Dimensional Structure of PPARγ Transcript Variant 1 Protein

2014
To predict three-dimensional structure and binding site of ligand from amino acid sequence of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma(PPARγ) transcript variant 1 protein. The secondary structure and surface properties of PPARγ transcript variant 1 protein such as hydrophilicity, physical and chemical properties, surface probability, flexible regions, motif, transmembrane domain, signal peptide and secondary structure were analyzed to predict its binding site of ligand by bioinformatics methods and means. Many potential binding sites of ligand were identified. Conclusion The secondary structure and binding site of ligand of PPARγ transcript variant 1 protein were predicted successfully by multiparameter. This study provided a foundation for identification of its advantage binding site of ligand and understanding its biological functions on the basis of protein structure.
