Camera system and method for recognition distance using the same

PURPOSE: A camera system and a distance recognition method using the same are provided to obtain a stereo system with a lens group and an image sensor by applying a reflector and to obtain identical images of a specific target object. CONSTITUTION: A camera system(100) comprises a reflector(110), a lens(121), an image sensor(123), and a distance recognition module. The reflector forms phases of videos becoming incident through the lens on a preset area of the image sensor. The lens transfers the videos transferred by the reflector to the image sensor. The image sensor converts videos of a light form into images. The distance recognition module analyzes the converted images, thereby grasping a distance from a target object.
