RAPID TRIAXIAL TEST

A general description of testing methods that incorporate some degree of automation to reduce the effort required to conduct triaxial tests is presented. The approach is useful for the production laboratory involved in design, construction and maintenance of flexible pavement systems. Even with a minimal level of automation, the tests may be conducted with very little operator intervention once the test has started. Both "index" properties and engineering material properties may be obtained with the devices.
