Osteoid osteoma of the acetabulum is rare and its treatment represents a challenge for the orthopedic surgeon. We report a case of a 12-year-old boy with osteoid osteoma in the acetabulum who was treated with a controlled hip dislocation and a gamma probe guide to facilitate excision. The diagnosis
