THE NEW ZEALAND PSA RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME STRATEGY - DOES THIS ALIGN GLOBALLY?

2015
The arrival of Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae (Psa) in New Zealand (NZ) in October 2010 has changed the face of the kiwifruit industry forever. Good progress has been made towards minimising the impacts on the NZ kiwifruit industry in a relatively short time. The RD the short term (2011-2014), medium term (2014-2018), and long term (2018-2026). This paper will present the themes of activity by horizon for the NZ Psa R&D strategy and propose that, with possible addition from global colleagues, it becomes the global strategy for Psa R&D and be used by all to gain alignment and prevent duplication wherever possible.
