Solid pseudopapillary tumors (SPT) of the pancreas are rare exocrine pancreatic tumors. Their etiology is un- known and they occur most commonly in young women. Local invasionandmetastatic evolutionisrareinthesetumors and their prognosis is excellent after complete surgical resec- tion. We report of SPT in a young female revealed by abdo- minal pain. The diagnosis of the cystic tumor was based on abdominal ultrasound and CT data. The surgical treatment was conservative and consisted of a tumorectomy. Histo- logical study confirmed the diagnosis of SPTof the pancreas.
