In conditions of market relations development in Russian sugar-beet subcomplex there is an urgent need for a transition from the extensive to the intensive way of economic development which is impossible without introducing resource-saving technologies into sugar-beet cultivating farms and sugar factories. The article provides a detailed analysis of the given problems and the ways of their solving.
