Primary Report on Application Effect of Seed Pelleting Agent for Direct Seeding Rice

Effect of self-developed seed pelleting agent on direct seeding rice was studied in Hanshou county and Liuyang city,Hunan in 2005.The results showed that seed pelleting agent evidently enhanced seedling qualities by promoting seedling emergence and tillering and increasing dry matter accumulation.At the same time,diseases and insect pests,especially rice trips,were prevented,and the prevention rate to rice trips was 70.89%.The average yield of rice was increased by 5.83%~8.59%,and the increasing of effective panicle number was the main reason to yield increasing.
