The subject of this essay is the tradition of Italian Idealism, rettacing its course, from the origins to the Kantian setting given to it by Spaventa, to the two ways it took during Twentieth century. The aim is not to take a balance, but to provide an overview, a quick and “classic” outline of the main tradition in the Italian Tought.
