Mulheres negras na Universidade Federal Fluminense: aspectos sobre identidade, ancestralidade e vida acadêmica

2019
This work addresses and analyzes the experiences of black women in undergraduate studies, from students of the Federal Fluminense University. To think about this process, we are interested in discussing and analyzing aspects of identity, ancestry and experiences of these people, starting from socio-historical conceptions of the same and related threads. The methodological line used was qualitative, characterized by discourse analysis, through interviews, allowing us to research the representations around these women, in order to reflect and discuss the need to make knowledge, and access to it , less centralized in white logics, as well as the importance of legitimizing plural types of knowledge. We develop the work with the bias of analyzing these experiences as a gradual construction of a more diverse intellectuality. We understand that there are social and political issues that permeate the whole process, it is relevant to look at gender and race issues in these contexts, since Brazil is a predominantly black country and higher education can also be an important factor for the rescue of the ethnic values of the black race.
