Sustainable protection of the environment through water governance

An important task for mankind to think and act, especially in times of crisis is environmental protection. The link between water and the environment is indisputable. Explained as the ability of a social system to develop public policies in order to mobilize the energies of different actors / stakeholders in a coherent sustainable development of water resources, “water governance” aims to create the necessary framework for implementing an integrated management system of water resources (IWRM) that meets individual access to water, its sufficiency and quality, the protection of sources from which it originates, reducing flood risk by reducing the amount of waste that cause the pollution of surface and groundwater , sustainable protection of the environment. The present paper outlines the framework of water governance and its impact on sustainable protection of the environment. Furthermore presents the perception of a sample of 400 persons on providing water supply and sewerage services in Comanesti town.
