SLMP: Its Capacity and Incorporation into Carbonaceous Materials

2010
Electrochemically active lithium is the core entity that carries energy in lithium ion and lithium metal batteries. Among all metals, lithium has the highest theoretical capacity of 3860 mAh/g and the most negative redox potential of -3.045 V. FMC’s advanced material, Lectro® Max Powder (SLMP) enables a new generation of Li-ion batteries by providing an independent source of lithium, which opens up choices for both anode and cathode materials. SLMP enables batteries to achieve the targeted high performance in energy, safety, and cost.
