Психолого-психометрические особенности детей и подростков с хронической патологией верхних дыхательных путей, проживающих на радиационно загрязненных территориях

The aim of the present paper was to study the psychological features of children and teenagers with chronic diseases of the upper respiratory tract, living in radioactive polluted regions. It was found that children and teenagers with chronic rhinitis, as well as with combined pathology of the upper airways demonstrate greater fixation on their own psychological problems and somatic disturbances. Besides, they differ in their personal disharmony with the prevalence of anxious and emotionally unstable character traits. The specific feature of the psychological status of children with chronic tonsillitis is a shift to hypomanic conditions, excessive impulsivity and some difficulties in organizing their behavior.
