UTJECAJ UNESCO-a NA UNAPRJEĐENJE KULTURNOG TURIZMA OČUVANJEM KULTURNE BAŠTINE (The Influence of the UNESCO to the Improvement of the Cultural Tourism Maintenance of the Cultural Heritage)

Croatian Abstract: Internetskim istraživanjem relevantne dokumentacije te istraživanjem znanstvene literature može se reci da UNESCO utjece na unaprjeđenje kulturnog turizma vlastitim inicijativama od kojih su najznacajnije: uspostava lista bastine svjetskog znacaja, projekti kojima se financira zastita i ocuvanje kulture bastine te projekti kulturnih itinerera. Upis na listu predstavlja kulturno vrjednovanje najviseg stupnja te omogucava UNESCO-vu strucnu i financijsku pomoc. Istraživanjem znanstvene literature ustanovljeno je da su ponesto istražena podrucja kvantitativnog doprinosa upisa na svjetsku listu kulturne bastine (broj posjetitelja, potrosnja, prihod), no ne i kvalitativna (motivacija, zadovoljstvo, doživljaj). Projekti koje inicira i provodi UNESCO usmjereni su prema zastiti kulturnog lokaliteta te prema smanjenju siromastva i nejednakosti među regijama. English Abstract: This paper reports on the findings of a study of the influence of UNESCO on the cultural tourism through the maintenance of the cultural heritage. Main research was primary Internet research of the relevant documents, conventions, charters etc. on the UNESCO and specialized organizations and institutions websites. Key findings are: UNESCO influence on the cultural tourism through maintenance of the cultural heritage on various ways and the most significant ones are: World Heritage List, projects for maintenance of the cultural heritage and projects of the cultural routes. Enlisted on the WHL represents the most important cultural valuation and the financial and professional help by UNESCO. The research of the scientific touristic literature shows that some studies have been done on the quantitative values of being on the WHL list (number of visitors, tourist consumption and receipts). The qualitative side (motivations, satisfaction, the experience of visit) haven’t been done. All UNESCO projects are focused on the maintenance of the cultural site, a decrease of poverty and imbalance of the regions.
