Evaluation of extra-heavy Crude Carabobo by Hydro with temperature variation using a mesoporous MCM-41 catalyst.

2012
We performed four hydrotreating reactions (HDT) for extra heavy Carabobo crude oil (Cerro Negro) from the Orinoco Oil Belt using NiMo/MCM-41 as catalyst in a reactor per charge, varying the temperature between 300 and 400 °C and a pressure of 70 bar. Samples were applied the dispersion method for determining the stability of asphaltenes in obtained crude oil and characterized by the SARA method they were quantified found an increase in the fraction of saturated and decrease of resins and asphaltenes. For the saturated, CG was performed, the asphaltenes were executed the threshold flocculation and FTIR. Determining that the asphaltenes from the HDT at 370 ° C showed the greatest instability and the FTIR was observed that asphaltenes HDS reactions su ered by the decrease of the band of 1030 cm 1 for the presence of sulfur.
