A device for releasing a volatile substance and method for filling the apparatus with the volatile material

The invention relates to a device (1) for releasing a volatile substance. The device thereby comprises a medium which undergoes a change in volume upon release of the volatile substance. Furthermore, the device (1) comprises a container (4) having an interior (15) for receiving the medium (2).
