Femtosecond Cr:Forsterite laser induced formation of waveguides and generation of supercontinuum in Eu doped nanoporous glass

The formation of waveguides in doped with Eu nanoporous glass in the course of it's irradiation with focused femtosecond Cr:Forsterite laser pulses is studied. Propagation of intense laser radiation in such waveguides was accompanied by supercontinuum generation, which was not observed in pure porous glass at the same conditions.
