Уровень VEGF-А в слезной жидкости у пациентов с диабетической ретинопатией в различные сроки после панретинальной лазеркоагуляции

2016
The research represents a study of VEGF-А level in a lacrimal fluid of the patients having different stages of diabetic retinopathy (DR), as well as within various terms after execution of panretinal laser coagulation (PRC). It appeared significantly and statistically higher in case of patients having DR in comparison with the data obtained from patients having diabetes without traits of retinopathy. No statistically significant difference in the level of VEGF-A was discovered in the case of patients having proliferative and nonproliferative retinopathy of the 1-3 stages. However, the patients with a severe form of retinopathy when fatal changes of retina and vitreous body are discovered (such as detachment of retina, expressed gliosis) but no traits of front eye region neovascularization are available, showed a significant reduction in the level of vasoproliferative factor. PRC led to the increase of VEGF-A level in 3 months of observation accompanied by enhancement of activity of neovascular process in 33.3% of cases. In 6 months of observation average level of VEGF-A reduced practically to initial values and continued to reduce in 12 months correlating with the reduction of neovascularization angiographic activity.
