Synthesis of the C1−C12 Fragment of Fostriecin

The synthesis of the C1−C12 fragment of fostriecin was achieved from (S)-glycidol in 15 steps by using an enantioselective allytitanation reaction and a ring-closure metathesis as the key steps.
