Cloning and Expression Analysis of TaCRC in Triticum aestivum

2009
A YABBY gene,TaCRC,was isolated from the carpels of wheat by RT-PCR.Its expression pattern in different tissues of wheat was studied by northern hybridization. The full length of TaCRC was 1 105 bp,encoding 199 amino acids.Sequence analysis showed TaCRC had a C2C2 zinc finger-like domain in the N terminus and a YABBY domain in the C terminus, and its deduced amino acid sequence had high identity with DROOPING LEAF(DL) from rice,CRABS CLAW(CRC) from Arabidopsis thaliana, and AmCRC from Antirrhinum majus.TaCRC was specifically expressed in the carpels, which was similar to the expression pattern of CRC from A.thaliana.These results indicated TaCRC is a homologous gene of CRC in wheat.
